I Bought My Parents a $650,000 Oceanfront Cottage

Ethan rushed to his parents’ oceanfront cottage after his mother called in tears, saying his brother-in-law had changed the locks and thrown them out of their own home.

When he arrived, he found his parents standing in the driveway beside their suitcases while Daniel confidently twirled a new set of keys on the porch.

Only months earlier, Ethan had surprised his parents on their fortieth anniversary by giving them the deed and keys to a $650,000 oceanfront cottage overlooking Cypress Point.

His mother then revealed that Daniel had threatened to call the police if they tried to enter their own home again.

Daniel proudly admitted the rental listing was already online and that several guests had even made reservations.

“It’s time. Start enforcement.”

Daniel’s confidence disappeared as the attorney answered immediately, “I’ve been expecting your call,” and Ethan prepared to reveal the legal protection nobody else knew existed
