My Neighbor Took Over My Driveway Until I Took Him To Court

When Brent Callaway moved next door, he acted like he was improving the neighborhood.

He had expensive cars, perfect landscaping, and a habit of treating everything around him like it belonged to him.

At first, I ignored the small comments about my landscaping truck and equipment.

But things changed when his guests started parking halfway into my driveway.

I politely asked them to move, but Brent acted like I was the problem.

“That driveway extends closer to my property than you think,” he told me.

I knew exactly where my property ended because I had owned my home for nine years.

My driveway was not just gravel.

It was how I ran my landscaping business.

It gave me space for my truck, trailer, and equipment without bothering anyone.

Then Brent placed orange cones along my driveway and claimed he was marking the property line.

I moved them back.

The next day, he showed up with a survey claiming eight feet of my driveway actually belonged to him.

I looked at the document and immediately knew something was wrong.

My original survey from when I bought the house showed the driveway was completely mine.

I showed Brent my paperwork, but he refused to accept it.

Instead, he doubled down.

I hired an independent surveyor who confirmed what I already knew.

The driveway was mine.

Brent’s survey was wrong.

But instead of admitting defeat, he made his biggest mistake.

Two weeks later, I came home from work and found a fence blocking my driveway.

He had built it directly across my property.

Brent thought a fence and a questionable survey could force me to surrender what I owned. But he never expected that I had the documents, patience, and determination to fight back.
